Crescent Moon Commemorates 42nd Anniversary of Woodstock with Henry Lee's "Star Spangled Banner"

Henry Lee, Joe Hugonette and J.J. Struebelt doing the Star Spangled Banner

Nena accidentally erased the best performance I've witnessed in Brownsville~Henry Lee, Joe Hugonette and J.J. Struebelt doing the Hendrix version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower".  They actually "blew out" a monitor in layman's terms.  While Ben was fixing the monitor, Henry jammed out the Star Spangled Banner along with Joe and J.J.

I caught Joe Hugonette as he came off stage.  "You guys were awesome.  You and Henry just seemed so synchronized."  "Well, we've been playing together since we were fourteen", Joe stated.  "We sort of know each other's style."

"J.J., that was great" I shouted.  "Well, it's been a while.  I didn't know if I would remember that stuff."

Here's Nena and I in 1969 along with others our age who actually went to Woodstock.

  8. Say Jake, you had better watch it because that one vietnam vet doesn't seem right. I'm sure you've heard about all of the severe atrocities the gooks put types like that through. I've heard things were so bad in southeast asia for a time there, that some vets stay up nights crying the whole time. My salutes to all of them.

  9. Hey! The closes I got was Thailand in 72 and TDY to boot for six months. Lost 35 pounds eating three squares a day and drinking sodas by the case. Could not sleep at night, it was so hot, working 12 hr. days, seven days a week. You walked from your hootch to the airstrip and you constantly had to watch out for cobras and crates. I can't imagine the same conditions plus getting shot at, killing charlie, people and friends getting killed all around you, the stench of death day in and day out! I don't understand how anybody made it back without some kind of emotional or phsycological problems. I have the greatest respect for all vets, especially Vietnam vets. I just thank God I didn't have to do a tour there!

Thought as much. LOL! But seriously, you are a severe idiot. I'm sure you are most likely a patient under severe but heavy doses of psycosis medications. I just pray you are not employed anywhere near any of our children (BISD?).

  14. Jane Fonda was never a traitor. Google it. After her 1972 "supposed" connoiter with the North Vietnamese enemy she continued on with a fabulous career/life. Hell, she even became the wife of "All American" Ted Turner. President Nixon thought so highly of her, she was invited to the White House a year after her jaunt with the enemy. No, those moronic Vietnam veterans who hate her to this day do so because, apparently, they are illiterate imbeciles. BTW, I'm a Vietnam era vet. Good day to ya.

And YOU, are an illiterate IMBECILE! But you use Jane Fonda as an excuse for being a complete idiot and getting all of the freebies you can take from the VA. And you have bleeding hemmorhoids from sitting in a wheelchair that you really didn't need just a few years ago, but it was your way of showing the VA doctors what Hanoi Jane did to your sorry, fat and flabby ass. Buahahahahahaa!
