Are you kidding? They would have to get the F.B.I. to investigate the F.B.I. Do you not know that Cata Presas-Garcia is friends with most of the F.B.I. agents in this area? They believe whatever she tells them. She meets with them periodically to keep them in check with her. So do not hold your breath and think that F.B.I. will do anything about any wrong doings the majority board members are involved in; they will continue to do as they wish. What can you do????????
ReplyDeleteYes. I understand Presas-Garcia puts that bit of disinformation out there to dissuade and discourage pursuit of an investigation. But, with the documents available through open records from the City of Lubbock, it's possible to connect some dots. I'm not saying we can stop the dismissal of the lawsuit. I think Quintanilla may already have the momentum rolling for that. But, indictments after the fact would not surprise me. Sometimes corrupt officials get bold when it seems they are in total control without realizing how traceable things are, despite all the subterfuge. The trustees need to be very certain they are not allowing coercion or pressure to force them to do something outside the law.

Seriously, if board trustees squander $14,000,000 worth of potential assets that belong to the children at the dictates of a RICO convicted felon, they are backstabbing the entire community. ReplyDeleteGuess we will see the indictments in 3 years. It usually takes that long for F.B.I. Because they build solid cases with recordings, sitings, photos, etc. Then they start taking them down one by one. When doing that one will usually break rank and start talking so they can get a better deal on the charges. Everyone just way and see.

The petition was set up by Bobby Wightman-Cervantes who predicted its demise. He said Brownsville would not care enough to sign and he was right. It's not a matter of luck, but of understanding human nature, fear and reticence.

When in fact there are several people who have seen her on the prowel for men and money. Don't believe this? Just watch how she dresses and carries herself. She is a total WOLF in SHEEPS clothing. Going around town making up and spreading rumors on people she hates and wants to destroy. She actual believes she is above everyone else. She is an EXCELLENT con artist with a vengeful, vindictive heart. Just ask all of us who went to high school with her. She was the same way in high school; she just got progressively worst. Very limited friends back in high school; only those looking to get something from her hung around her. Scary!!!

So it's not enough that Catalina used BISD personnel, auditors, human resources to demote a principal out of vindictiveness? Bisd allowed this corrupt behavior and did nothing to stop it. How many more lives are they going to allow her to ruin? Who will stand up and say they were involved...... No one, because they will be removed, demoted, shut up by bisd...

Now, let me quote what Luci Longoria said at a public forum during a BISD meeting in defense of Hector Gonzalez, on Dec 8, 2009:
"If you are not liked you may as well fear for your job" in closing her speech, she said the following:
"To you board members, how can you sleep at night after all the wrong doings you have done"
These were the specific words she used back then....My question to Luci, and the rest of the board majority is.....Can you???????

Catalina Presas-Garcia, the president of the Brownsville Independent School District Board of Trustees since November 2010, plans to step aside as board president at this afternoon’s meeting.
Presas-Garcia said she placed an agenda item calling for consideration and possible action to reorganize the board’s leadership because of her wish to devote more time to her real estate business.
She is a real estate agent with Adobe Realty and said she expects increased engagements in 2012 to require more of her time and additional travel.
"I am very proud of the job I have done and of the hours of time that I have dedicated to this district with great passion," she said. Serving as board president, she added, essentially requires a person to make themselves available at all times to conduct the district’s business.
Presas-Garcia said she plans to step back somewhat but to remain an active board member.
"I will still continue to be the voice of the people and for the people," she said. "I have been very committed and will continue to be committed to this district, to the students, to the employees of BISD and to the citizens of Brownsville."
She said she looks "forward to a great year for BISD in 2012," and that the district is focused on meeting the challenges it faces.
"As board president you have more responsibilities," she said. "Everyone is coming to you and everything that the board does moves through you. ... I have my goals. I have always had my goals for the district. ... I will still be on the board but I will be more focused."
As to who might succeed her as president, Presas-Garcia said that will be up to her fellow board members.
"I plan to open it up with a little speech and then let my colleagues decide," she said. "Everyone should have the opportunity to serve as board president. Nobody knows the cross that they carry but the one that carries it. I’ve been very pleased to serve my community."
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the BISD Administration Building at 1900 Price Road.

ReplyDeletepLEAS PLEASE-MAKE ALL THE INSANTY STOP.As a 25 year ecucator and teacher in the district I beseech you to investigate for the shenanigans of the lawlessness, thievery.For the lack of faith of teachers, administrator and parents had to endure. I'm sure you have thouusands of cases to go over and I know it takes you long ardous hours to combe through everypage and complaint. Our case is indeed unprecented...so much coercion, abuse mispent funds. You are ar only chance.
