Surprise! Surprise! Con Artist Carlos Quintanilla Evidently Uses False Address in Court Deposition

In the November 7, 2011 deposition of Mary S. Rey, a March 2010 court deposition is referenced.  In that deposition Carlos Quintanilla gives his Brownsville residency address as 1205 St. Charles, Brownsville, TX.  When pressed further, he claims to have leased the property from a Maria Perez.  Of course, there are literally thousands of women with the name Maria Perez, but the home at 1205 W. St. Charles, Brownsville, TX is owned by Mary S. Rey.
This is not the first time an address has come back to bite Quintanilla.  During the Fly Frontera fiasco acted out at the Brownsville City Commission, then Mayor Pat Ahumada tried to put some distance between Fly Frontera Airlines and Carlos Quintanilla.  That was because it was found out that Quintanilla had a RICO felony conviction for racketeering, being convicted of trying to bilk the G. Heileman Brewing Company out of $700,000 in a kickback scheme.  Ahumada kept saying about Quintanilla.  "He's just the messenger.  He's not part of the company!"  Then it was brought out that the company website of Fly Frontera listed their corporate address as 421 S. Dwight, Dallas, TX  75211.  That was Carlos Quintanilla's home address.  So much for distancing the con artist from the con.
Here's a bit more Quintanilla address funny business.  In a political ad evidently produced by Quintanilla for the DefeatZayasCortezPowers PAC,  the bottom disclosure listed the sender as Mary S. Rey, Treasurer/Designator, P.O. Box 1194, Olmito, TX.  Ms. Rey was not the treasurer of the PAC and she stated under court deposition that she has never owned P.O. Box 1194 in Olmito.

  1. Quintanilla has shot his wad. He has been exposed for what he is! I imagine he will fade from Brownsville if prison doesn't get him first.

  2. Board members President Garcia, Dr. Saavedra, Enrique Escobedo Jr., Luci Longoria violated Board policy BBF (Local) Trustworthiness in stewardship; I will make no personal promise or take private action that may compromise my performance or my responsibilities. I will tell the truth with honor in conduct. I will refuse to surrender judgment to any individual or group at the EXPENSE OF THE DISTRICT AS A WHOLE; INTEGRERITY OF CHARACTER. Let’s look at BBFD (Legal) ETHICS PROHIBITED PRACTICES: BRIBERY. LET’S MOVE ON BOARD POLICY BBC (LEGAL) THE REMOVAL FROM OFFICE: INCOMPETENCY WHICH MEANS GROSS IGNORANCE OF OFFICIAL DUTIES; GROSS CARELESSNESS IN THE DISCHARGE OF THOSE DUTIES; OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT WHICH MEANS INTENTIONAL ON AND ON….

  6. Probably Quintanilla is up and around meeting with lawyesr to sue the crap out of Ms. Rey. Let's see if she is so poised when they expose her lies. Did you ask Mr. Quintanilla for $50,000. Did you ask person B for $50,000. did you ask person C for $50,000. Did you ask Person D to seek a meeting with Ernesto Gamez. Is your son getting free commissary from Rick Zayas. Are your sons convicted drug dealers. Are they murderers. It should be interesting it goes to characther.

  8. THe Rey deposition: Is it not going to end up being a "she said he said" affair?

On some issues most likely. But, if Quintanilla is charged with perjury, will he be able to prove he lived at 1205 St. Charles? Will he be able to produce a lease not produced at Kinko's and backdated?

As far as Quintanilla's claim that Rey demanded $50,000, I've read phone texts and heard recorded conversations that reveal otherwise. Ms. Rey has saved much of her phone contact with Quintanilla.

Of course, Quintanilla's ace in the hole is that Villalobos simply doesn't do the job he was elected and is paid to do.

  10. Quintanilla testified in a civil case that was dismissed by the guy conducting the deposition. There are many people who were not deposed that will refute Ms. Rey's testimony simply because she outright lied. I can tell you I too was asked by Ms. Rey to put up $50,000 to hire Ernesto Gamez. There are many people she also asked for help. Jim you need to check your facts before you get smacked with a lawsuit and based on your history of attending political functions and serving you like a starve homeless person you look like a poor schmuck that will lose everything you got.

  13. Jesus, do people not get it - I do not play the con game - with anyone.
Mary Rey could not give a rats ass about BISD or its children. So long as she thought she was going to get something from Quintanilla she was willing to turn a blind eye and play the game. She is as much of a con artist as Quintanilla.
But that does not change key parts of her testimony - Quintanilla clearly lied about the lease. Her testimony is enough for the DA to call the witnesses before a grand jury and force their testimony. At this level her deposition remains important.
But guys there will be no part two. Get it - con job - this evil woman will hold all of the BISD children hostage until she gets what she wants - I do not play Mary. Honorable people do not cut deals, they just do the right thing - you my dear know nothing about honor which is why Quintanilla was able to reel you in with so little effort.

The DA and Texas Ethics Commission clearly have enough to convene an investigation. I will bet the farm that 20 years from now Rick Zayas will be telling people he is going to send the deposition to the Texas Ethics Commission any day now.
Nothing but a lack of a moral compass prevents Rick Zayas from walking into the grand jury and demand they indict Quintanilla on two counts of felony perjury, and to open a full criminal investigation against these people under the election code. It is called a grand jury referral. If he calls a press conference before he does it, I defy Villalobos to stop him. Villalobos is already before a federal grand jury - let's add obstruction of justice on this issue to whatever they are already looking at.

But reality check - 20 years from no Rick Zayas will be telling people - any day now. And they will make Joe Colunga their spokesman so he can mumble his way through the press release.

  14. Ha ha ha, are these people craping on their pants.
Bottom line is they are going down. Even if Quintanilla gets those ABCD people to lie under oath..Once Mary Rey gets her written and recorded evidence, they will be finished....
You see it? Calaina and Lucy were meeting with this convicted felon prior to election, ...

  15. Catalina Presa-Garcia, Luci Longoria, Christina Saavedra, Enrique Escobedo, Art Rendon, Pat Lehman, and Argelia Miller were meeting with convicted felon Carlos Quintanilla on a regular basis BEFORE AND AFTER ELECTION...

WHY ARE THEY NOT DENIEING IT??? WHY???
