Can Escobedo and Quintanilla Be Stopped Before BISD Loses $14,000,000?

Just this morning a Dallas court allowed a Temporary Restraining Order with respect to the foreclosure on the home of Carlos Quintanilla until December 12th to allow the court more time to hear the case. 30 Minutes was not enough time for the court to hear the evidence. The court only agreed to this if Quintanilla posted a $1,000 cash bond. This is not unusual as courts bend over backwards to protect the rights of individuals facing the loss of their home.
How does this affect us in Brownsville?  Con artist Quintanilla, facing foreclosure, liens, bounced checks and other legal problems is desperate for money.  Quintanilla's golden egg may very well be Ted Parker of Healthsmart, an insurance company the BISD is suing for $14,000,000 in overcharges.  How much would it be worth it to Ted Parker if Quintanilla could get trustees elected and administrators appointed who would agree to drop the suit against Healthsmart?  Would Parker pay a million to save fourteen million?

Trustee Enrique Escobedo, pictured at the top of the article with Quintanilla, is said to be pushing hard for dismissal of the Healthsmart lawsuit.  If he can get the case dismissed in the next few days, it's possible that Quintanilla can get paid and save his home from foreclosure.  The trustees Quintanilla helped elect are Enrique Escobedo, Lucy Longoria and Catalina Presas-Garcia.  Taped evidence also seems to indicate that Quintanilla orchestrated the "firing" or forceout of Superintendent Springston, the termination of Chief Financial Officer Tony Fuller, perhaps because they opposed dropping the suit.
Escobedo is no stranger to dishonesty.  You may recall the Brownsville Herald story detailing his false claim to a doctorate.  Even after the school in Mexico he claimed issued his doctorate degree stated they had issued him none such and that he was considered a "student", welcome to come back and pursue a degree, he still printed out campaign materials claiming a doctorate.

Catalina Presas-Garcia may also be part of the core of corruption.  Notice this excerpt from the Brownsville Herald tieing her to Ted Parker:  "BISD board president Catalina Presas-Garcia has chosen a law firm to defend her against a lawsuit by former athletic director Joe Rodriguez — and it’s the same firm that represents Ted Parker, the onetime owner of Healthsmart Benefits Solutions Inc. which BISD is suing for breach of contract."
Mary S. Rey overheard a conversation between Quintanilla and Lucy Longoria where Quintanilla screamed:  "I made you, bitch!"  So she may also feel some obligation to the convicted racketeer as well.
We need to do everything in our power to see that the suit is not dismissed at the whims and direction of a con artist who may profit from such a dismissal.  We need FBI involvement, just as the FBI got involved with the Lubbock City Commission involving Healthsmart.  We owe it to the children of Brownsville to not throw away $14,000,000 at a time when funds are limited just to help a con artist and his cronies.

  1. Mr. Quintanilla made the mistake of falsely accusing a US Congressman of wrongdoing. This automatically forces the FBI to look into the threat of litigation related to the matter. Mr. Quintanilla is so stupid by his own actions he now has the FBI looking at this with a greater focus.

Mr. Quintanilla claims Mr. Wightman got the court order granting the TRO from the attorneys for NTex. No I got it by asking the clerk for a copy. Anyone can go to the clerk and get a copy. All court records are public records.

But here is the real proof Mr. Quintanilla is lying about what happened in court. He claims Mr. Wightman and Mr. Barton lied about the pending foreclosure. If there was no foreclosure pending for December 6, 2011, why did the court issue a TRO against the foreclosure? This guy is so stupid he cannot see the obviousnesss in his lie.

If you do not believe me look to page 62 of the following link.

    http://www.dallascounty.org/department/countyclerk/foreclosures.php

Then look for this one on the 17th.

Click on this link and go to page 62 you will see the foreclosure which was set for the 6th of december. He claims it did not exist. If he lied about this what else is he lying about.

Every judge in Dallas will tell you they grant the TRO's if the plaintiff has enough for a bond. They then give them time to come back for a full hearing.

He lied about no foreclosure. Does anyone believe him when he says that NTex showed up in court without proof they owned the mortgage, or had authority to seek the foreclosure?

  3. Pat Lehmann and Carlos Quintanilla are the organizer for the PAC and Healthsmart. Since 2009, Cadillac Caty Presas-Garcia was the voice for the broad for broke and the PAC. Cadillac Caty needs someone to pay for her brand new Cadillac SRX and house. Any rookie FBI would see the corruption by the board members. Enrique Escobedo Jr., will not go against Pat Lehmann on the vote. The only hope did Dr. Saavedra sell out. Remember, her nephew Tony Saavedra is the Girls Varsity basketball head coach at Porter Girls. The PAC supported Dr. Saavedra for her vote. They will drop the law suit. Board member Minerva Pena knows the truth about Cadillac Caty hardship since 2008. Why has Minerva Pena not called the Texas Rangers or local law enforcement? The truth will come out at the end. Stay tune for more…

  4. Brownsville is a very forgiving town, especially of public officials, educators. When Enrique Escobedo was revealed to be a fake doctor, many came to his defense. They may not have fully thought out how calculated Escobedo's fraud was.

He is personally, professionally and academically dishonest. He disrespects all those who worked hard for advanced degrees. A normal person with a conscience would cringe with guilt every time someone addressed them as "Doctor", knowing the stature was not deserved. If he had identified himself as "Dr. Escobedo" during a police stop, he could have been charged with criminal impersonation.

Yet, even after the Brownsville Herald published the story of his misrepresentation, he produced campaign materials still claiming to be "Dr. Escobedo".

Escobedo and Quintanilla are birds of a feather.

You are just saying Escobedo is Hitler because he's a Democrat. Just like a teabagger to pull out Hitler.

The poster is correct. Stick to the facts to avoid legal problems. Also, the name calling and bickering with posters detracts from the journalistic position. Do you want to end up like Montoya, a politiquero, or like McHale, a vulgar bully?
The public does appreciate the truth.

  16. I am beyond confused regarding the November 28th 5:12 p.m. post that states "no one in Brownsville believes them".

Really, come on. Then who are the thousands and thousands of "believers" that voted for them. They are apparently enough believers/suckers in Brownsville for Quintinalla to latch onto like a blood sucking leach, because he sure convinced enough "believers" i.e., suckers to vote for the cast of clowns you people call a school board. No one in Brownsville wants to get behind this movement to oust these clowns.

So, whoever posted that "no one in Brownsville believes them." obviously people do believe them, and it is a down right shame.

You people might as well face it, things will never change, because you don't want to do anything about change and the "believers" that voted for these clowns.

  17. Oh, and this is an added comment specifically addressed to Carlos Quintinalla. There are a lot of belivers out there in Brownsville that you have suckered into believing your con game. These believers are not going to do anything at all to effect change in Brownsville. So this is your "ticket to ride". Go right ahead, proceed and rip off the citizens of Brownsville, lie to everyone, take money from a Summer Feeding program and pretend that you are doing something good for the Hispanic kids of Brownsville and do what your felony con buddy, Mr. Carter in Dallas did, and give the students pathetic lunches that included little more than crackers and juice boxes (wow nutritious). (by the way isn't the State of Texas investigating as to where the One Million Dollars your convicted felon con game buddy Mr. Carter, did with the remainder of the $1M (that's million) went that was left over from the pathetic lunches of juice and crackers?

Go ahead as a convicted felon and implant yourself with the decision makers of BISD and expose yourself to the hispanic children of Brownsville. Because the believers and the majority of Brownsville don't really give a crap if you, Carlos Quintinalla as a convicted felon are running around in close association with their children. So, you see, Carlos, you did get one thing right. You picked the right city for your blood sucking leaching of a con game and continuous fraud. Because the majority of the citizens of Brownsville don't care who rips them or their children off. And they certainly don't care that you are a convicted felon that was convicted of RICCO charges, and actually your crime for which you are now classified as a felon, was actully ripping off a commmunity program in Chicago under the guise that you wanted money from this program/fund to establish a community program for Hispanic children in your area of Chicago. I give you some credit Carlos, at least your con game is the same as it was in Chicago, ripping off programs under the guise of helping Hispanic Children. But hey, at least once you have a business model that works, Business 101 is that you should stick with that business plan, so you are right on target.

-- Congratulations Carlos, you just got your "ticket to ride" stamped. And it was stamped by the "believing" citizens of Brownsville that refuse to do nothing about change, even when a known convicted felon is ripping of them and their children.

  18. On Bruce Carter, you people in Brownsville need to know he has been sued for not paying for all of the milk which was provided to feed the children. According to the lawsuit he paid for a lot of it, but left over $500,000.00 in unpaid invoices. Quintanilla is not part of the lawsuit. When he worked with Bruce Carter he was just the boy passing out the food. If Bruce Carter owes over $500,000.00 in invoices for milk, he must have been approved to feed over 500,000 kids. The number seems really high, but that is what is alleged in the lawsuit. Do not feel bad Brownsville, CMF beverages did business with a convicted felon. They gave him the milk on a promise he would pay. They allege he did not pay.
