From the editor: OK, this is shocking! Local Democratic political operative Mario Saenz, the brother of District Attorney Luis Saenz, has the unmitigated gall to ask Brownsville and Cameron County residents to fork over money for his daughter's campaign for a political seat, not in Brownsville, not in Cameron County, not even in the State of Texas.  The office Mario's daughter seeks, for which he's requesting your financial support, is in Illinois!!!!

Dammit, Mario!  What are you thinking or smoking???  Even if your daughter does the finest political work in Dekalb County, Illinois, that will not benefit locals one iota!!!! It only benefits the Saenz family.  I guess now we've finally seen it all!!!
