Administrators and Department Heads from Trump's first administration |
Trump's obvious plan to populate his 2nd administration totally with inexperienced yes men, while sprinkling in some self-serving billionaires, is understandable.
For his first administration, Trump went the more traditional route, selecting primarily experienced, competent people, several with military backgrounds, others with years in business and government.
Certainly you remember folks like Gary Cohn, Rex Tillerson, John Bolton, James Mattis, John Kelly, Richard V. Spencer, H.R. McMaster, Tom Bossert, Anthony Scaramucci, Ty Cobb and others.
The problem was that these capable people, once seeing Trump in action, realized that he was not qualified to do the job, didn't understand how government works or respect our system of government. Mostly, these folk assumed the role of protecting the country from Donald Trump and Donald Trump from himself. Someday, we may even know all the dumb shit Trump wanted to do as President, but was stifled, stopped or prevented from doing by his more experienced staff.
Yet, these former Trump administrators, while not telling us everything yet, have been forthright in their descriptions of Trump, referring to him as "dumb as a rock," a "professional liar," "f***ing moron," "stunningly uninformed," making "a mockery of the constitution," preparing an "enemies list," etc.
Trump's prospective nominees the second time around make it unlikely he'll ever hear the word "no!" for the next four years and, if he get's his dictatorial way, possibly beyond.
Most of those pictured above will be on Trump's enemies list.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed that my feeble, amateurish attempt at a collage has three pics of Rex Tillerson, but none of Anthony Scaramucci. I must do better!
ReplyDeleteThe only ones that can stop, control or help Trump are the people that voted for him. If they let him do whatever he wants, then we should not protest nor waste our energy into fighting him. Our job is to work, protect our families and keep a budget to survive the Age of Trump.
