The doofus pictured above, Duardo Paz-Martinez, pictured still with teeth and several strands of Lady Clairol "Vividly Red," has resurfaced.

After 13 years of trolling this blog, denigrating my late wife as well as my current one, Mr. P-M has snuck out of the shadows of mental stupor to make the false claim that I fathered Captain Bob, AKA Robert Sanchez.

Of course, Sanchez has his own mom and dad and I'm neither, but I'm the proud father of a 53 year old son, a man quieter and more laid back than Sanchez.

Here's the recent, non-consequential exchange between Paz-Martinez and myself:

Duardo Paz-Martinez: "Rumor is the bulbus headed captain boob is your son. . . . Makes a lot of sense. Jajajahaja"

Jim Barton: "Duardito, quince anos pasados, your retorte would have been quicker and more effective. Surely, my reference to your difficulty in sustaining a relationship struck a nerve, albeit a slow one. Anyway, like you, I'll soon be 77 and, even if dementia doesn't take root, rigor mortis sets in, slightly preceded by a certain slowness in reaction times. Hopefully, life is good in mom's old house and the culture of dusty McAllen, such as it is, still intrigues you. Anyway, ever get up to Kyle for old times with your former plump nurse friend? Her hubby and kids would love to meet you."

For years, when the current college class were just starting school, Duardo Paz coveted some role in the local blogosphere, but never gained traction, despite relentless promotion by Jerry McHale.

When Jerry and Duardo had some sort of falling out a couple/three years ago, that dream was shattered and Duardo has been out of sight, out of mind.

While I'm fine with Duardbutt garnering whatever slice of the blogosphere pie is within his reach, I'll have to respond to any attacks on my current wife, a filipina who desires to remain clear of politics.
