When you go after Elon Musk while ignoring the fact, the Cameron County Democrats on Commissioners Court gave him Boca Chica Beach and all the power, you lose all credibility. When Gilberto Hinojosa tried to do this with Isla Blanca, it cost him the election, but today it is no big deal.
