    1. Yes, I forgot about the small bribe Musk gave to the city of Brownsville in exchange for control of Boca Chica. Musk has long since violated the entire agreement he signed with Carlos Cascos and other officials originally agreeing to hinder beach use only 12 days per year.

  7. Wow… unbelievable scene with hundreds of cars lined up right by the water… can’t believe so many people owned cars during that era

  8. Hard to believe how many 30's cars lined the beach. . Now, post SpaceX, there's usually only about 8-10 cars on the entire eight mile beach.

  9. Wonderful ad… it reveals that the influential didn’t lack entertainment. Unlike today u did not have to pay to enjoy the beach… free excess

  10. 4:14 pm. My family n many others would take tents and spend the night. Especially during the time when there was a full moon.. the dunes were big n a lot fun to play hide n seek. Simple days when time didn’t matter

  11. Boca chica a historical landmark gone forever. It was a natural playground that attracted thousands of Brownsville natives throughout the decades. Now, the sea breeze has been replaced by the sound n smell of rocket fuel… what a shame!

  15. What happened? Why was this beach lost? Who was in charge of keeping it pristine, top entertainment place and with many attractions?

  17. They did more with less… I remind you that this was during the depression era… politicians were not as crooked as today. When you could go to the movies, buy popcorn an a coke for 25 cents. Rutledge hamburgers sold for 15 cents but that was considered expensive during the depression. Eventually they came down to 10 cents

  18. Interesting BC history. A city in the middle of nowhere that was created in dark economic times. How did they do it we should ask? A paved highway from Brownsville to BC another millstone by county leaders of then. Visionaries to say the least versus today’ s self centered ego money mongers
