Lying has gotten very expensive in these United States.

8 jurors approved by Rudy Giuliani's own lawyers unanimously agreed to award two Georgian election workers much more than they even asked for to compensate for the vicious, hateful untruths he perpetrated and kept repeating against them.

$148,000,000 for Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss!

Yeah, sure.  Giuliani will try to mount an appeal if he's able to meet the financial criteria, a bond equaling the award amount, but damn, it's so tiring to even read about moral pigs like Giuliani or his clown leader, Trump, unscrupulous men caring not one whit for democracy or the rule of law, just staying in power..

The huge award is reminiscent of the $787.5M settlement reached by Fox News with Dominion Voting Systems.  Fox News used Dominion just as Giuliani used the two election workers, as scapegoats to justify their pursuit of the Big Lie, that the 2020 election had been stolen or rigged.

Hell, it was Fox News that duped, tricked and fooled so many hardworking Americans into succumbing to the MAGA cult, following a blatant, dishonest con artist so unequipped for the presidency.

So much damage has been done to the fabric of our democracy that it will be a real challenge to recover.

Still, I have faith that recovery will occur!
