Taylor Swift

In what is likely an unabashed pursuit of clickbait, former Fox News commentator Megyn Kelly has called for a boycott of singer Taylor Swift because Swift attended a comedy club that donated the proceeds to "humanitarian relief to the people of Gaza."

Kelly blasted Swift, saying that the singer "“owes Israelis and Jewish Americans an apology” for her appearance at the show.

“I hope they boycott her events until she issues it, because attending this thing was wrong,” Kelly said, adding that "Swift clearly knows nothing."

What Swift actually attended was a performance of "More Feelings" by stand-up comedian Ramy Yousef at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

One can't see Taylor Swift giving a shit about rants from right wing commentators or the singer losing fan support from this.

The viewers of Fox News and other rightwing outfits are probably older folk from farms in Iowa or Arkansas, more likely Dolly Parton fans than Swifties.

The charity Kelly called out is the American Near East Refugee Aid(ANERA), registered as a 501-3C and also an NGO or non-governmental organization of the United Nations.

A spokesperson for the charity stated that "because Hamas has been designated a terrorist group by the U.S. State Department, ANERA does not work or coordinate with them."
