Assuming one's appraisals get reduced, they aren't going to reduce to last year's value.
All governmental entities will see a windfall in tax revenues if they maintain the same tax rate.
Budget adoptions will be coming up shortly.
These govt entities should do the right thing.
They can compute a 5% increase in tax revenues, and reduce their tax rate to reflect this.
This rate reduction will mitigate the increase in the appraisals a bit.
If all remain silent, our elected officials will assume that all are ok with it.

Five Percent I can live with. I do not plan to protest since my livelihood was tied to a job paid for by taxes. But com'on man, everyone takes advantage of the inflation craze. Give me a break.
