Former Secretary of State Carlos Cascos commented on proposed raises for Cameron County elected officials:
Here we go again.....with many facing evictions, unemployment rising, property taxes increasing, food & gas costs skyrocketing, these self serving Cameron County elected officials, lead by the County Judge, are proposing awarding themselves raises, far and above those to be given to the rank & file employees.....when does it end.
Cascos lost in the last election big time! Add that, dumbass!!!

DeleteTrevino has been looking to get to that magical six figure payday. When mayor he wasted tax payer dollars on a proposition to give himself 100,000 dollars in salary. He did the same thing last year as county judge along with Joey Lopez. Now he wants to go at it a little at a time. Why does he deserve a raise when the midget doesn’t do anything?! There are days he doesn’t go to work and when he does he leaves before lunch time and never comes back! And he changed the meetings to be done in the morning so it would not interfere with his time! The employees deserve a raise, they are the ones that work at the county. But little Eddie could care less… looking out for himself as always! Vote this bum out!

DeleteSince being county judge, Eddie Trevino hasn’t given employee raises at county. But he wants a raise every year. Keep up the bad work judge.
ReplyDeleteTrevino told me that productivity among county employees was ver low, that he'd support their raise once they earn it.
DeleteYeah? Why doesn’t he make that part of his campaign platform instead of promising raises to county employees when running for office?

ReplyDeleteDid the great Cascos donate his county judge salary, or say he would do it - as most Republicans do. He won't run for mayor cause it doesn't pay! Ahem.
