Ana at 4:00 AM This Morning |
"Stop playing around!" I yelled.
"Were you approved or not?"
Ana held up some papers, flashing that smile.
"Yes! Why do you think I'm holding up this paperwork?" she asked.
It's been a long two days for us, this final trip into Manila for an interview at the U.S. Embassy, preceded by a seminar mandated by the Philippine government covering the rights of employees and spouses who travel abroad. Neither of us has slept much.

Now, I have to get serious about tidying up my place. The kitchen and bathroom are clean, but I see dust on the ceiling fans. The outside paint needs a touchup. . .OMG, I need to make my car presentable.
"Don't worry about any of that darling," reassures Ana.
"I will soon be there to help you do all that!"
Congratulations. Where can we go and leave a present for Ana. She needs gifts to remember this moment.

ReplyDeleteYou must keep blogging, Jim. With the lovely Ana at your side, she will be just as inspiring as the serene Nena was. There will be times in the calm of day when blogging is the perfect discipline. You're taking your mind for a walk and observing the passing thoughts. It's like a good run. You air yourself out. Then you can return and chat with Ana and touch on subjects that will serve as the foundation for future flights of fancy. And we must never forget your handy camera, too.
ReplyDeleteDid she get a K-VISA? If so, when will you wed? Make sure to invite all to your wedding!
ReplyDeleteOverlook the watering and fertilization of plants.

Blavatnik contributed $6.35 million to leading Republican candidates and incumbent senators. Mitch McConnell was the top recipient of Blavatnik's donations, collecting $2.5 million for his GOP Senate Leadership Fund under the names of two of Blavatnik's holding companies, Access Industries and AI Altep Holdings, according to Federal Election Commission documents and Opensecrets.
