Ana is there, with her extended family, to celebrate her brother-in-laws birthday.
There is no indoor dining at the resort, but an assortment of gazebos overlooking ship-filled Macajalar Bay, the surf, and, in the distance, another island of the Philippines jutting out of the sea.
One unusual aspect is that parking is outside a promenade of coconut palms. You can take a tram through the grove, or, as we did, simply walk to the resort.
Swimming in the huge pool is actually on the dinner menu for 40 pisos, 77 cents U.S.
I'm actually with Ana via videocall, watching the party from 8,500 miles away.
I LOVE y'alls connection! So SWEET!!
