WHAT DID FORMER CHIEF RODRIGUEZ MEAN BY "KNUCKLEHEAD NEPOTISM NANCY?"

At the 1:10 mark on the video tape of the February 3, 2019 Whine and Cheez podcast, former Police Chief Orlando Rodriguez seems anxious to say something.  

Pointing to the camera, Rodriguez says "to that knucklehead nepotism Nancy out there, read the law, educate yourself. . .stop making a fool of yourself.  He knows who I'm talking about."

In the "Bizarro World of Bobby Wightman-Cervantes"(See Bobbyville, Population 1), the above was an anti-gay "slur."

To make his odd point, Bobby used the alternate spelling nan-ce', a usage I found in this commentary from the online article "Faggots, Punks and Prostitutes, the Evolving Language of Gay Men:

“Nance” and “nancy boy” as well as “Nelly” and “nellies” were terms used by both gays and straights also connoting effeminacy or youthfulness. According to one of writer Keith Vacha’s interviewees, nellies were “common queens” by which he meant: “ones with bleached blonde hair and plucked eyebrows”.

And finally, perhaps to the consternation of some of today’s toughs, there is “punk,” which according to Rudolph Trumbach was once the slang term for both prostitute and sodomite."

Is this what former Chief Rodriguez was referencing?  

In his crude, irrational style Bobby subsequently called for the removal of BISD Trustees Prisci Tipton, Sylvia Atkinson and Philip Cowen for their refusal to censure Erasmo Castro for his allowing Rodriguez' remark above to go unchallenged.

As usual, the bobster misses the whole point.  "Knucklehead nepotism Nancy" more likely refers to the charge that, under the leadership of Police Chief Orlando Rodriguez, the BPD was extraordinarily nepotistic, with Chief Rodriguez bringing his own common-law wife, Marci Sanchez, into the fold as a department head, increasing the salary and staffing for that department.(to circumvent the rules, former Chief Rodriguez referred to his partner as a "cohabiter," not a wife.)

Marci, in turn, we are told, brought 7 or 8 family members and friends into the department populating such areas as records, supplies, maintenance, along with other perks.

That may very well be the "nepotism" charge Rodriguez is venting about at the end of the Whine and Cheez podcast, not some imaginary homophobic nonsense.

Now, as to former Chief Rodriguez's support of David Dale as the new chief, is it possible that Dale is likely the only candidate for Police Chief who would preserve, not disrupt, the atmosphere of nepotism set in place by the former chief?
