Bishop Daniel Flores, Diocese of Brownsville |
Daniel Flores did.
“As a Catholic, as bishop of this local church, and as a human being I am horrified by this,” the bishop wrote in a message posted on the diocese website. “The suffering caused to so many by this crime in incalculable.”
“On behalf of the church, for the sinful actions of members of the church, I express this sorrow to the family, and to those whose faith has been injured by these events,” stated Flores.
Why doesn't the Bishop speak out against the plundering being committed by Tony Martinez towards the citizens of Brownsville ? Deal after dirty deal, scam after scam and nothing from the Bishop! All the corruption by countless elected official but so long as they're in church and donate, silence from the Bishop. The Bishop is fake.
ReplyDeleteBusiness wise, he had to do it, church was missing revenue
ReplyDeleteIt is good that the Church, or at least this bishop, understands these types of abuses do permanent damage to not only the victims, but those clinging to any shred of faith they have left in this religious institution.
ReplyDeleteIf the Church was sincerely sorry, they would immediately offer buckets of money to the family that was wronged by the psychopath that the church protected for decades. Money talks, bullshit walks. If they are sincere about a rich man not being able to pass through the eye of a needle, they would be the first to unload the burden of wealth from their own backs.
Instead, I suspect they will fight tooth and nail against any meaningful and significant financial settlement to Irene Garza's family. Lemmings are supposed to be content with words and apologies, while the fat cat psychos kill and molest with impunity, all the while passing around the collection plate, moaning "do not judge us, lest you be judged".
