How Firm Is Trump's Support? A Monmouth University Poll Answers

Pollsters at Monmouth University finally asked Trump supporters the most pressing question:  

"Is there ANYTHING President Trump could do or say to cause you to disapprove of his job as president?"

61% of Trump supporters replied "no" to that question.

Of course, Donald Trump has known this for quite a while.  Back in January, at a rally, he stated:  "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters."

Female Trump supporters are even more hardcore with a whopping 72% saying nothing Trump could do or say would change their opinion.  54% of male Trump supporters feel that way.

This nearly automatic, unflinching support allows Trump to take frequent breaks from the humdrum of governing to absorb the cheers and adulation from his so-called base.
