DeleteFrom the start of his run for the presidency last year, we have assumed time after time that Trump would fall to his political death. Yet somehow, something has always turned up to save him. But it’s no accident that the Russians were there during the campaign to prop Trump up. And it’s no accident that the Republican leaders in Congress never do more than tsk tsk as Trump tweets or says ever more vile and insulting things about his opponents or about women. Trump may well be driven by a form of narcissism and he may be certifiably pathological or insane. But he is crazy the same way a dictator is crazy.
ReplyDeleteHe is certainly unfit for office, and the 25th Amendment may well be the appropriate remedy. But don’t count on it being used against him. Trump is probably ready for that one. He will go down. But I think he will go down fighting, and it’s going to be a close battle.
