Politicians bore the Hell outta me.  I'm sorry if you support some local guy or gal, but they're not going to do much.  It's up to you to make a good life for yourself and your family.

Sure, I've written a lot about Trump, but that only reflects my concern for those duped, tricked and fooled by that particular con man.  Just don't let him use the military against citizens and forget this foolish talk about a third term.  He's already done enough damage to our country's institutions and our international reputation.  Trump is someone to be endured, tolerated, much like an unskilled boss or supervisor.  Self-enrichment is his primary goal.

Brownsville's taxpayers greatly overpay for city administrators; city managers and assistants, department heads, etc., especially in relation to what other jobs pay here.  We're not getting much return on the dollar for those salaries.

The irony is that Brownsville kids are smart.  You don't win national chess tournaments without basic intelligence.  I've a grandson now in high school who's been coding since the 4th grade.  I'm not sure what Brownsville can offer him once he finishes school.

I've given up on the notion that downtown Brownsville will ever be much more than it currently is.  New businesses, just like those before them, seem to have a short shelf life unless propped up by the already well-to-do.  There are more customers daily in the Sunrise Mall food court than all of downtown Brownsville.  Restaurants have long been a terrible investment anywhere, but especially here.

Mexico, our neighbor to the south, has been killed, stifled and crippled by the drug cartels.  If you're a local politician with ties and/or a working relationship with the cartels, then "Fuck you!"  You're a filthy leach and coward.  Also, "God damn you!"
