Bill Young

Today, we lost a beautiful, substantial friend in Bill Young, a contemporary, who tested, challenged our viewpoint at most every turn.

Over the years, thirteen Brownsville Observer articles featured or highlighted Bill's take on things, precisely because they represented an articulate counterpoint to our personal one.

Yet, whenever we met on the H.E.B. aisle, it was always a cordial interraction between two grandfathers, a nod of understanding about the cycle of life.

Bill will absolutely be missed.
