Representative George Santos

How could anyone be shocked or surprised with the 2023 edition of the Republican Party beset by chaos, bitter infighting and backstabbing?

Didn't their fearless leader Donald John Trump set that very tone in 2016 when he knocked off 17 G.O.P. challengers with insults, name-calling and mockery on his way to the Presidency?

Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gaetz

Kids like Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, Georgia's dumb-as-a-rock Marjorie Taylor Greene and pervert Matt Gaetz are simply little Trumpettes emulating the Con Man, yes, following the playbook of the likely 2024 Republican standard bearer.

Then, in New York, we have the real Donald Trump, Jr. in one George Anthony Devolder Santos, a compulsive liar under indictment, with the chutzpah to self-righteouslessly call out anyone questioning his countless frauds.

Yet, it was the Grand Ol' Party's wiser heads who blocked Jim Jordan's egocentric pursuit of the Speaker's job as they knew he had no interest in actually governing, but rather in shutting the government down.

Representative Hakeem Jeffries

The plain-as-the-nose-on-your-face solution is there for the taking; electing leading vote getter for Speaker, N.Y. Democrat Hakeem Jeffries, with the proviso he allows bipartisan bills to go forward.

But, that solution is too creative for this generation's Republicans infected by the disease of Trumpism, who will instead nominate someone their divided party is incapable of electing and bitch each other out while doing it.
