IS CITY MANAGER NOEL BERNAL RESTRUCTURING CITY DEPARTMENTS?

City Manager Noel Bernal
Director of Aviation Bryant Walker teased the Airport Advisory Board Tuesday, dropping hints of a departmental restructuring in the City of Brownsville.

Walker introduced a young woman from a new city department, the pretentiously-named Office of Strategic Initiatives, then told us that old Brownsville Metro is no more.

"I think it's going to be called Multimodal Transportation and the hike and bike trails, now monitored by the Planning Department and the trails in our park system now move there.

"What is all this costing us?" one of the airport board members asked.

"I think it's more in the nature of restructuring, reorganizing, improving efficiency," Walker explained.

We've extended an invitation to City Manager Noel Bernal for this Sunday's Whine with Cheez podcast.  Reshuffling, restructuring city departments is an eye-catching move to be sure.

  1. Jim,

Constanza De Coss -Miner is no longer the director for the planning and development services department. She has a new position. Also, there is no current Grants and Community Development director. The question is now, will Noe appoint a director that has experience seeking multi-million dollar grants and not just grants given through HUD? Brownsville needs an infusion of non-HUD grants to ensure all aspects of infrastructure improvements are completed.

  2. Attorney General William Barr and his DOJ minions are running scared. Robert Mueller will eat Barr's "Summary Letter" alive indicating is a further thinly disguised attempt to violate 18 USC Sections 1501, 1503 and 371. Mueller will reveal to Schiff's Intelligence Committee that DOJ routinely has and is violating Black Letter Law/Statute that it must immediately inform and furnish Schiff's Intelligence Committee of all counterintelligence info and evidence of Trump and others' being compromised by Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar et al thru tax fraud, money laundering and oligarch "loans" to Trump.

Mueller testimony will result in hardcopy transcripts to later be used in trials of Barr and various DOJ officials who be indicted of felonies after Trump is bounced out of WH on January 20, 2012.

Barr is on the same trajectory as Nixon's AG, John Mitchell, who got convicted of Obstruction and Conspiracy, lost his license and served 2 1/2 years in the slammer.

    2. Just proves how stoopid Retardicans are. Conservative media set this thing up like some bomb might be dropped and nobody else thought that at all. Muelller simply laid out the report as written which would and will indict the Orange Moron once he is no longer president. The next year and a half with 17 state and federal investigations coming to conclusions over how many of the Orange Moron's Cast of Useful Idiots go to jail will be perfectly orchestrated along with Impeachment proceedings in the Spring.

This is a huge win for the Dems and now they get to inflict pain all the way into the election.

  3. Yes, I'm sure that Democrats are anxious for Mueller to testify. They're still hoping he says that Trump did collude with them Russians but here forgot to put it in the report. IDIOTS!

  6. So a planner in planning? Charly must be rolling over in his, whaterver he's in. A auditor with something to do with auditing and not a Charly crony with a assistant nurse certificate? An engineer and not a Charly crony heading public works? What about the non-CPA Loopy at finance? We don't need no CPA's around here, we did fine for 40 years with the other guy, amirite?
