From the editor: Introduced by Judge Menton Murray, Jr., for whom she clerked for 17 years and her son, Ruben Cortez, currently representing this area on the Texas Board of Education, JP Linda Salazar kicked off her re-election campaign on the steps of the Cameron County Courthouse Tuesday evening.
With a slight threat of rain, a covered tent was set up for the event.
