We had an enjoyable visit with Cameron County Judge candidate Carlos Cascos during the Whine and Cheez podcast at Angelita's Casa de Cafe on Boca Chica Boulevard.
Cascos answered questions about merging the three Rio Grande Valley Metropolitan Planning Organizations, his acceptance of the Secretary of State position, shortly after his 2014 re-election as county judge, the West Rail Road/bike trail/promenade issue, even his thoughts on the Beto/Cruz Senate race.
Incumbent County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr. declined to participate in the forum, stating his fear that the discussion would be a "set-up."
