HOW SBOE CANDIDATE TAD HASSE VIEWS CAMERON COUNTY DEMOCRATS!

From the editor:  With the Cameron County Republican base somewhere around 35-38%, it's obvious that County Judge candidate Carlos Cascos NEEDS crossover Democratic votes to win.

That is why, last week, Cascos himself shared, on Facebook, images of "Beto" signs standing next to his own signs in several Brownsville yards.

Cascos hopes against hope, that those planning on voting for Beto will also vote for him, but he doesn't want a humongous turnout for Beto, resulting into a disastrous "blue wave."

SBOE candidate Tad Hasse is in a very different position.  SBOE District 2, is a thin, gerrymandered district that slides past Corpus Christi up into northern rural counties, some nearly 100% Republican.

Hasse, with most of those northern counties solidly behind him, needs to get just close to the actual Republican base in Cameron County to win.

Perhaps, that explains some of Tad's flippant, dismissive comments about Democrats.

Tad does not respect Democrats, considering himself and his fellow Republicans to be intellectually superior and Democrats "slow and stupid."

It's comments like the ones below that gave me pause after once endorsing Hasse for SBOE.

Regarding nearly half the electorate as simply "stupid," does not bode well for being on the State Board of Education, making decisions affecting the children of those categorized as "slow and stupid" by Hasse.

  1. Does Carlos Cascos and Morgan Graham believe Democrats are “slow and stupid” as Tad Hasse claims?

    1. Both Morgan and Cascos will likely make a statement on this.

  2. How does this fucktard plan on crushing voters’ “enthusiasm and hope?”

    1. The GOP is evil, in a stupid, almost Dr. Evilly way. There is no hiding it anymore. Beto is crushing Ted Cruz and this Kavanaugh business, right when you thought the bar couldn't go any lower. They really have come unglued. Tad lost my vote.

  3. All I need to know is how Tad's teeth fell out... Like one by one??? All at the same time??? Is he willing to be the jack-o-lantern at the La Southmost Dulceton??? Better question is, does Carlos Cascos have any idea what happened to Tad's teeth and if he doesn't know, is he qualified to be a county judge??? How the fuck did republicans elect these people as nominees???

  4. So the other day I guess Carlos Cascos and Tad were block walking... or it could have been the Zombie run was taking place because a very old creepy creature with wrinkles was chasing someone with 3 hairs on his head and missing teeth. You gotta love the republican ticket because I can't tell the difference between candidates and zombies.

  5. Tad Hasse is the worst candidate of this cycle. He looks like a bum and thinks that is the role model schoolkids need. Take a bath and wash YOUR FUCKING CLOTHES, LOSER! And walk upright, you old fuck!

    1. This is the wrong approach. It's these viewpoints expressed by Hasse that disqualify him, not his physical appearance.

    2. Agreed. But who knew his brain was so toxic and fucked up.

    A hundred times yes.

    1. I would describe "stupid" as the 3 stooges bumbling around with $600 in $1 bills, somehow trying to get it to Robert Sanchez at the courthouse on time

  7. Fine. Ted Hasse doesn’t need my Democrat vote, he won’t get it. He’s acting like a Trump/Cruz Republican replete with the name-calling. Please quit fawning over him. FWIW the Beto event at the Brownsville Event center was packed - standing room only. I’m guessing a minimum of 2,000 people crowd size.

  9. Why would someone running for office put out such stupid, offensive quotes? That's beyond stupid and shows zero political skill.

  10. it's got a july 3 date, so why didn't you publish this stuff earlier?

    1. Yes, I noticed the date on that sample. I just received the documents yesterday, so I've not been sitting on them for an impactful release date.

The date might not be relevant anyway, especially if Tad hasn't renounced his clearly stated views.

Are you aware of Tad stating these statements are no longer representative of how he views Democrats?

    2. "...Tad stating these statements are no longer representative of how he views Democrats?" sounds like a boyfriend trying to convince his gullible girl to give him another chance, that he won't lie to her again. "c'mon babe, you know that ain't like me at all." tad is a toad and a leopard can't change its spots.

  11. Tad Hasse said he had Democrat votes in the primary to win in November. Where will he find them now?

  12. This kind of hatred is deeply ingrained. Like saying overnight you're not a racist anymore, after you got caught wearing a white hood. Sure. He's a Trump True Believer and goobers like him are putting the peace of our nation at risk. Will absolutely vote against any more of this insanity.

  13. Why do you even give this creep the time of day!!!??? And why to you continually make excuses for him/give him the benefit of the doubt?

  14. This is all you got on Tad. This is nothing Jim.

    1. This is just Tad expressing his views. It's up to the voter to decide if his statements mean "nothing." Obviously, if your point of view aligns with Tad's, you vote for him. He's your man.

  16. Does the Brownsville Observer officially rescinded and no longer endorses Tad Hasse for Texas State Board of Education District 2?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Tad gave us no choice but to rescind. His misguided beliefs, fears and prejudices against a large segment of our population are reminiscent of Hillary's "deplorables" comment, but actually worse, because he doubles down on those misguided, beyond partisan views. It's an extremism not needed anywhere.

  17. No statement from any Republicans regarding Tad Hasse’s extremist statements?

  18. Latinxs make the predominant majority of Democrat voters here. Is Tad Hasse saying Latinxs are “slow and stupid” due to “nature?”

  19. I have to take some blames for this in that, as a friend, I knew Tad views himself as the smartest person in any room. He is very smart, but its a limited aptitude, technology, that he excels in.

At some point, I should have tried to temper Tad's unbalanced ego.

His political IQ is, actually, not very high. No savvy politico would ever put down views, as above, even if he had such feelings of superiority over the "slow and stupid" Dem voters. Tad's philosophy is polar opposite of and counter-productive to what Carlos Cascos needs to happen to be elected county judge.

  20. Jim, for all of Carlos Cascos’s alleged political smarts, he has yet to publicly distance himself from these horrendous defamatory statements against Hispanic Democrats of the area. He will not because of some allegiance to Tad. Is it because Carlos knows where Tad got the money to donate to a Democrat county judge candidate? Or does Carlos share the same opinion Tad Hasse has towards Hispanic Democrats?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Since Carlos Cascos will not tell Tad Hasse to fuck off, Cascos believes Democrats are slow and stupid. You lost my vote pendejo Cascos.
