HEY KIDS! BROWNSVILLE GETS FIRST SNOWFALL IN 13 YEARS!

Dusting of snow on grill, table
Snowfall is a big thing for kids like me!

Thirteen years ago, we awoke at the Sandpiper RV Park in Port Isabel to 1/4" or so of white stuff on Highway 100.

Port Isabel PD vehicles were roaming the streets at 4:00 AM, protecting citizens from the Winter blast, but also jamming their brakes to create long skids, laughing their heads off.

That 2004 "measurable" snowfall was the first to hit our area in 100 years.  This morning, we're blessed again with a light dusting.

I woke  our son Diego up at an early hour.

"Did Jack see the snow?"  I asked.

"Ok, I'll get him up," Diego said unenthusiastically.

All kids like snow!  Lol!
