It's Official! Ben Neece Completes Initial Filing for City Commissioner, District 4

Ben Neece
From the editor:  It's been reported to us that former Municipal Judge Ben Neece has completed the preliminary requirements to run for City Commissioner District 4, which includes much of Brownsville's neglected downtown area.

A political insider sent us this memo:

"Neece filed with the City Secretary's office. I believe it was appointment of treasurer, next comes application with signatures. He is on his way to continue to serve the people of Brownsville."

John Villarreal currently serves as City Commissioner, District 4, having completed the term of Edward Camarillo in 2011, then winning re-election in 2013.
