A building on Ruben Torres Boulevard, once a Kawasaki motorcycle dealership and repair shop, now sports a "Sold" sticker on the realtor's sign out front.
Today, we noticed that an OP 10.33 banner now hangs just below the old Kawasaki sign. Has this building been purchased by Mike Hernandez III, part owner of D&M Leasing of Grand Prairie, Texas for use as a new OP 10.33 headquarters?
We messaged Roger Lee, OP 10.33 spokesperson, but he's not yet replied.
Hernandez spent $140,000 primarily on losers in the most recent Texas Southmost College and Port of Brownsville campaigns, losing five races. His sole claim to victory was the heavily favored TSC incumbent, Trey Mendez, who did accept some of Hernandez' money.

$140,000. that we know of so far, no one on the November 2016 ballot admitted to taking any OP1033 campaign cash. Mike Hernandez and company have their sights set on a very big fat long term pay off at the expense of the tax payers of Brownsville.
ReplyDeleteI will never vote for anyone associated with these people.
ReplyDeleteMe either.
ReplyDeletePlease take their money politicians. It shows us who you really are. OP money is the kiss of death to a campaign.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can be sure that OP 1033 purchased the building referred to in the post. Now Mr. Hernandez has partnered with the Lucios to establish trade schools in the Valley. Who is he going after now to support in the upcomming city elections. Will it be the big Cheese as he runs against the Doctor, Gowen? More to come.
ReplyDeleteIs Erasmo the only candidate??
