Subsequently, Martinez strings together several news outlets where he claims to have enjoyed a bit of employment or at least a cup of coffee, but no tenure and nothing in the last couple of decades. Perhaps, soiling the nest does not contribute to job security.
More recently, Martinez' methodology has remained constant, but unsuccessful, as he's tried to establish himself as a local blogger for at least a decade. Proverbially sniping from the book depository, the predator tries to "take out" his opposition, other bloggers, thus creating a niche for himself.

After closing The Paz Files, a new blog, allegedly written by "UT-PA college student, Sam Losoya, from Harlingen," mysteriously surfaced, with similar attacks on the two Harlingen bloggers, an identical style and graphics. Eduardo denies any connection with the obviously fake blog, which has also closed.
Almost immediately, after Sam Losoya disappeared, Martinez was back online with yet another blog, attacking two Brownsville blogs, Mean Mister Brownsville(this blog's former name) and the Brownsville Voice by Bobby Wightman-Cervantes. His attacks reached a crescendo in April 2015 with six or seven straight articles attacking me, my wife, Nena, and son, Diego. When I shared this information with Google, his blog was removed within the hour. The very next day, my blogger comment box was filled with three dozen obscene comments, primarily directed at my wife Nena. The daily or twice daily obscenities continued for one year.

When Eduardo and Jerry eventually did tussle, Jerry, to illustrate the character of his blogging adversary, shared details of a lunch with Eduardo at a Mexican restaurant. Jerry claimed he paid the bill, then left a tip, which he watched Eduardo pocket, thus cheating the Hispanic wait staff. McHale also described Eduardo as a drifter, who mooched off first, one set of relatives, then, as they tired of him, moved on to another set.

Now, Eduardo Martinez is taking a shit on his two Brownsville newspaper buddies, Montoya and McHale, with a blistering article in yet another new blog, this time on Wordpress, not Google, lecturing the longtime bloggers about "journalistic ethics." Given Eduardo's checkered history of fake articles, fake blogs and fake names, lecturing anyone else about journalistic ethics would be like Pee Wee Herman pontificating about proper conduct in a movie theater.

No, no, no! The "fake" Elvis story came years after I'd left the Herald. Yes, I stayed one year, but only because I took a post with the San Antonio Light. And my other subsequent jobs came on my onward and upward philosophy. Why don't you address the issue that brought you here, your theft of Montoya's story? Face up to your negatives, Barton. All of this you post you have posted a jillion times before. Post this to impress m,e that you do go after the truth. The Herald 'Fake Elvis' story is well-known to Bill Young. Call him. Find the article. It'l show you the hoax came years after I'd left Browntown. But enough of me, already. Do the spectacular, dude. And I'll note it. You, you silly salesman, just can't seem to do it, however...
ReplyDeleteNotice that Eddie only disputes the timing of the Fake Elvis article, not the writing of the article itself. He does not dispute the other, more serious juvenile, unprofessional conduct. Journalistic ethics! Give us a break, son!
DeletePaz is a joke. He took down an alleged special article by Pat Ahumada because it also appeared on your page, claiming he does not allow for such things. Then he called for guest writers and copied and pasted an article McHale had up for hours, calling it a guest article he paid a $100 for. No, it never happened. He just copied and pasted McHale's article as a fake guest column. He accuses you of stealing Montoya's work, when in fact your piece gave us more insight into problems between Neece and Cabler than Montoya provided. Then today in classic Paz style he steals another article from McHale and posts it on his blog as a fake guest article. He is a joke. The idea this guys knows anything about ethics is so laughable. You added to the what happened at the court, where Pax being lazt just copies and pastes entire articles.

ReplyDeleteEduardo Paz Martinez is a buffoon Jim. He wrote a story while he was on his trip to Denver, probably paid by his new friend Mickey, in which he wrote that the trip made him reflect on his writing. He goes on to write that he is not going to attack people when they write about him....that he is going to bite his lip at such things, to the point of biting his lip off if need be. Well, he's baaaack! LOL! Him not attacking other people is like telling a dog to stop licking his nuts...not going to happen dude...LOL!
ReplyDeleteWith the crazed Paz living in McAllen, you would think he would write about the shenanigans of the areas politicians....but no Maria, there are no blogs in McAllen to do the work for him. He follows Brownsville blogs to do the exact thing he accuses them of...stealing stories. Yes, Maria, the old lad has no journalistic ethics...LOL! He reads all Brownsville blogs, day and night...then criticizes them and makes those stories his own. He even goes as far as to call people featured in Brownsville blogs stories and interviews them! Why they would answer questions from this failed journalist is beyond anyone's comprehension...lol! And his anonymous attacks are so transperant, he might as well of signed the juvenile posts.
