Hearing in Mary Tipton Case Set for Wednesday @ 1:30 PM in 445th District Court Before Judge De Coss

Marisa Govea Hernandez
A hearing involving possible charges against Marisa Govea Hernandez, the alleged hit-and-run driver in an accident killing Mary Tipton, will be heard Wednesday @ 1:30 PM in 445th District Court presided over by Judge Rene De Coss.

We've learned that Ernesto Gamez, attorney for the defendant, may try to demonstrate that FM 803, the road where Mary Tipton was struck on February 28, 2015, is essentially an unsafe road with other fatalities  on record.

  1. One should advise Ernesto Gamez that this was another murder committed in Cameron County, covered-up by the DA, sheriff, police, lawyers and corrupt judge. Enough is enough bullshit. Maybe its time that the citizens of Cameron county seek justice somewhere else out of Texas. This is my opinion.

  2. Based on Gamez's theory, is an unsafe road a license to kill and leave the scene of the accident?

  3. So the family should also sue the city for damages as well Mr Gamez? I agree. But regardless the person who left Mrs Tipton to die should pay. Judge DeCoss will see to it.

  6. Ralph Tipton probably the horrible things you said or did to your wife forced her to commit suicide that night? There was a study made on Violence against women and it proved that women who are beaten, assaulted, and emotional abused can force them to commit suicide. In addition research has shown that beaten, assaulted, and emotional abused women living with violent men, are five times more likely to commit suicide.

Plus my suggestion is probably 100% correct... Just look at the court documents that your wife wrote and filled against you roach

  7. None of this is about a person, but about Mary Tipton's death. Have a little respect and stand up for justice for her. Who are we to judge? Focus on justice for Mary Tipton..

  8. Mr. Path Ahumada I agree with you. The problem here is that Mr Tipton and yourself have been accusing Marisa and her kids by making false accusations or assumptions without saying the truth or without wanting to see the actual facts. If he really wants justice why his asking for $?,000,000.00 he knows what number belongs there. And if there is any corruption like his saying, well I hope that people will be fair with Marissa's case and Mary's as well.

  9. Valerie Vasquez Ralph wasn't even in town when Govea ran Mary Tipton down and left her on the side of he road. She damn well new she didn't hit a skunk !! Who in the hell would take 4 people walking up and down a quote " dangerous highway " in horrible conditions to find an injured skunk. Govea knew she struck Mary Tipton that night and you people bringing up their marital history to deflect blame from Govea is a dirty ploy. Bunch of roaches skum filled evil BASTARDS and BITCHES I hope she pays for leaving the scene of the crime.

  11. I can Only speak for myself, but I firmly believe the court and the DA's job is to be in search of the truth. The issue is the cause of Mary Tipton's death and who is responsible for her death. Who should be held accountable for her death. Why were exceptions made in the handling of this case and who should be held accountable?

  12. Uyyy!!! Someone's getting mad. And that's how you want to be an example for society? Calling everyone ROACHES BITCHES AND BASTARDS?? Way to be a role model... Let me remind you that she never said she would hit a skunk. And if she asked for help at first, it was because when she saw the damage on the car, she knew it was something big but never thinking it was a person. At least they called 911 between 1-2 hours whatever you say, because you always change everything, if marisa would've wanted to cover up evidence like you said, she would've never filed a report on that area where the accident happened. At least the report was useful because if not it would've been too hard to know who was involved in the accident.

  13. Mr.Pat Ahumada you expressed that Marisa left the scene only thinking of herself. The point is that you said it without knowing the reality of what happened. And yes,and etc there be justice because the rights of Marisa are being violated after the detective erased evidence where it proves that Marisa went back several times trying to find what she hit in that moment. Whatever Ralph said 1 or 2 hours after a police officer was there. If someone didn't do their job, well maybe that is why the evidence got lost?? You know better than anyone and should know how Cameron County works and if you think the same way as Ralph that everyone is corrupt, well that is a big problem.

  15. Anonymous, she left the scene. You can say whatever you want and I am not the one who has to prove anything. The fact is, she left the scene, Marty Tipton died and anything after the fact is the result of the driver leaving the scene of the accident, period. I was hit by car at about 40 mph on Coffeeport back in 2000. I was also in an accident with a bicyclist at night with no lighting, who came from my blind side and hit my truck, but I knew it was a person and I immediately stopped, put emergency lights on and called 911. So, you want to go back and rephrase what happened, but the reality is someone is dead and the person that killed Mary Tipton left the scene of the accident.

  16. Mr Pat. You should know better, Mr Drunk Driver. Who got away with 3 DWIS from Brownsville PD. Your the cities role model!

  17. I think she should be locked up, for hit and run maybe she was drunk. How can you not know that you hit a person, she should have stopped and look they say she had a passenger but since her son works for the sheriff department she rather call him. That is very sad and a $500 bond please she should be sitting in jail until trial or hearing or what ever is next. She left her there like an animal she did not hit an animal.
