wow, what a ridiculous waste of money.
ReplyDeleteInstead of traveling to Colombia, why don't they bring down here an assembly plant, a manufacturing plant or a clothing line plant. We are a border city and all the jobs go to Matamoros "maquiladoras" because of the lower wages. At the rate the dollar is with the peso, Brownsville residents have a higher value of the dollar. Why does our mayor waste all OUR money instead of using his own.? I would really like to see an automobile assembly plant here, a Levy's or a Walmart clothing brand, but I guess their intelligence brain mass doesn't give them enough to have those type of thoughts.

ReplyDeleteAnd how does that happen? Magically? Because any plant owner just inherently KNOWS Brownsville would work for their industry? I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and guess you've never owned a business that needed to promote itself & its resources. That takes time. That takes travel. That takes money.
I guess I don't really blame you for not realizing that; but I sure as HELL blame the purveyors of your education. And the fundamental (!) lack of economic or business sense that you and your commenting ilk are showing here and elsewhere.
