District Attorney Candidate Carlos Masso Refuses to Clean Up Campaign, Enlisting Support of Ernie and Norma Hernandez

With respect to cleaning up his political act, Carlos Masso is a slow learner. Despite close association in 2012 with infamous politiqueras Herminia Becerra and Margarita Ozuna, Masso now includes in his campaign well-known politiquero Joey Garza as the picture at the left from Garza's Facebook page indicates.

The dishonest vote-harvester, Norma Hernandez, also plays a role in the Masso campaign. The chicken plate fundraiser advertisement below is from Norma's Facebook page.

  1. Looks like Melissa Zamora and Luis Saenz gave you some initiative to attack Carlos Masso. What happened to Luis Saenz prosecuting the politiqueros? Wasn't he supposed to end it? He is the one that is allowing it to happen Jim. How easily you have been persuaded to change your mind. Looks like you are going to do the same thing you did with Jessica T. look the other way.

A long time ago you were a true writer now you have been bought by attention. Not what is best for the County much less the city of Brownsville, TX. Do you actually think Luis and Mellissa aren't using poliiqueros????? They did and are just not as public.

  2. Your memory is clouded by partisanship as just one week ago I referred to both Masso and Saenz as "deadbeat candidates." Your "bought by attention" theory is not only lame, but illogical. Certainly, Saenz has showed no inclination to fight political corruption. He embraces it. Masso does the same, brazenly notorious illegal vote harvesters and embracing costly backdoor deals at the Port of Brownsville.

  3. Jim the same people that are on the pictures got your friend Jessica Tetreau re-elected....not once did it bother you or did you post pictures of them with her. My question is why the double standard. Everyone on those pictures helped get Jessica her votes. It was never the general public that voted her it was the voters being hauled in vans... of course you needed her in the city so again why the double standard?

    Jim don't dodge the question.

    1. If you had that actual information about Jessica Tetreau's campaign, you lacked the courage to share it with this blog or others.

    2. Yes those Rodriguez are both Rats and their whole family. All they know to do is play for free at adult daycares and take them elderly people to go and vote and both father and son each are getting paid about 300.00 a week and Linda Salazar is also paying them both to do this. People like this, make voters in CAMERON COUNTY NOT WANTING TO VOTE AND THE CORRUPTION CONTINUES. I WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR MASSO, SALAZAR OR ANY OTHER CANDIDATES THAT ARE CONNECTED WITH THE RODRIGUEZ AND HERNANDEZ. TO ME THEY ARE ALL RATS AND SOME OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE DRUG ADDICTS AND DRUNKS, HEY JUST LOOK AT SYLVIA RODRIGUEZ AND LINDA SALAZAR ALL THEY DO IS DRINK AND THE POOR GOLFER OF SYLVIA CATERS TO LINDA FOR EVERYTHING.. GOOD LUCK TO ANY CANDIDATES WHO ASSOCIATE WITH THESE RATAS

  6. Come on Jimbo, you know that convictions in Cameron County are by mere power of the pen. The corruption goes all the way up to Washington D.C. & you well know this. If they like you they leave you alone, if they dislike you they will twist the evidence & convict you. You very well know this. Current D.A. is no different that the former D.A. Current one is just more conniving, that is only because being at D.A. office, is not his first rodeo. As an assist D.A. He learned the ropes well! Just do your research.

    1. If they are corrupt why does the evidence have to be "twisted"? Pease provide an example.

  7. Notice how no one except Saenz' paid blog commenter Melissa is excited about Saenz campaign this time around. Ask around, no one is thrilled. The general attitude is, "Saenz, again? Sigh." The reason for this is the people of Cameron County desperately needed the DA succeeding Villalobos to be the opposite of Villalobos, a strong force against corruption. But all we saw is more of the same. He arrests politiqueras, but only after the FBI and AG took the lead. He still has failed to prosecute them. He talks a big talk about domestic violence, but didn't prosecute Jessica Tetreau when she was arrested for beating up her husband. It leads one to wonder, what exactly is he afraid of? Why does he coddle his political favorites, refuse to prosecute the corrupt, and what is up with the shuffling of money from the eight-liner machines? Come on Saenz, you were supposed to be a shining beacon and restorer of confidence after Villalobos. But you've just been weak. And a massive disappointment. Of course Masso just looks dumb with the Hernandez and their politiqueros, but Saenz allows them to flaunt their vote fraud with impunity, by not prosecuting. Who knows, with such lackluster support for the current DA, Masso might just be able to pull it off with enough fake votes and vans, that Saenz did nothing to stop. Saenz makes it so that as a voter, I find it difficult to distinguish which of the two would be a worse choice to cast a vote for. And he most certainly cannot count on my vote this time around. I'm praying for a 3rd entry.

  8. Saenz has used all the politiqueras in the past.....ask him to take a lie detector test....the bum won't do it. He is guilty of using the mail vote himself. He knows all the politiqueras very well.
