Will Masso Ruin His DA Chances by Supporting LNG?

  1. He has already shown his support for LNG. The LNG companies would not be pursuing the application process if the Navigation District had not told them they would offer them a lease. Think about it, they already have sites where they want to build. Do you think they are going to submit applications for a specific site without some type of agreement? The whole process stops if the District will just say NO! You can't build a plant if you don't have a place to build it. I don't understand why the District has been given a walk on this, so far. I would really like to know what the District has agreed to and when they agreed to it and if there was any opposition at all from anyone on the board. I bet there was none. Haven't you wondered why the board has been so quite on this? I'm thinking they miscalculated the community feeling on this and are trying to figure out some way they come out of the process without losing future elections and still get whatever was promised to them by the industry. The dilemma of power -- how do I exercise it to my profit without losing it.
