  1. 1960. I went to kindergarten in the school across the street. But, the Nuns would take us in there for prayers on a daily basis.

  3. Why is it that our American Cathedral is "renovated", millions of dollars spent and across the border, they have pesos, not dollars and their pews are better, they have tv. screens in sections of their cathedral so everyone can have a good view of the altar, they have modern instruments for their choir, their choir and their ushers have uniforms or tshirts with their work in the catedral de Nuestra Senora del Refugio.
Immaculate Conception is historical, beautiful but left behind by their Mexican counterpart.

    1. That kind of thinking is why Market Square was ruined. See pic from 1912: http://runyon.lib.utexas.edu/r/RUN04000/RUN04000/RUN04084.JPG. Some people thought that brick work should be "left behind" and stucco/cement applied to give it a "modern" look. such a shame.
