In the Big Picture scheme of things, moving this park is inconsequential. Little games for little minds.
ReplyDeleteWhat is consequential, a third rate satellite campus taking over land it does not need, nor will ever need, at the expense of the poorest people in the US? No, it is not little games for little minds. It is big, rich people abusing little people. By the way, you may wish to work on your syntax. It is less than idiomatic.
DeleteNothing wrong with what he wrote. And it is a minor deal when you consider all aspects of the transaction. Really. Grab hold of the point he's making. I don't hear much about this in Brownsville other than than on the loser blogs.
DeleteTony will surely use tax dollars to fight his policy battle against the public....while the public is not likely to spend much, if any money, to fight Tony Martinez. Tony is following the lead of his idols, Barack Obama and Julieta Garcia, and will use our tax dollars to fight the publis.Tony has never give the public his "vision" or long range plan for the city, but he calls us "short sighted". What an autocratic ass he is.
ReplyDeleteThe longhorn logo is for UT-Austin, not the UT system. UT Austin doesn't have anything to do with the park, right? Hook 'em!
ReplyDeleteUT-Austin is the crown jewel of the so-called UT system. Unlike the University of California system, which actually is a system that has comparable members, the UT is a one shot deal. Other than Austin, the other entities are very weak sisters (see UT-Brownsville). As such, Jim is perfectly correct is using the Long Horn as a symbol of the evil powers bearing down on the hapless Southmostians.
DeleteFalling oil prices and lower production, coupled with a political crisis, will combine to dissuade foreign oil companies from taking advantage of the recently passed reforms. The race is lost. Get ready for a peso tumble. http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2014/11/how-pena-nietos-house-of-cards-crumbled.html#more
ReplyDeleteFrom the people who brought you "Pee Wee No Vale Wee Wee", "El Padre No Vale Madre" and "Poach The Coach", today we launch "ABTM!"

ReplyDeleteWritten by a true clueless fool.
DeleteClueless? You live in one of the poorest towns in America! Take care of your own. You worry about a fucking park while we worry about feeding your neighbors through welfare. Clueless? Obscenity.
