Tony Martinez Bolts Executive Session for Al Jazeera Interview on Arab TV

The reportedly 5 minutes Mayor Tony Martinez spent in Executive Session Tuesday Night made up for their brevity in turbulence, petulance and name calling.

Two reports claimed Mayor Tony called City Commissioner Jessica Tetreau "stupid" during the session, with one report adding the proverbial "B" word.

The stress of dealing with interviews about SpaceX while still being questioned about ill-advised real estate purchases may have taxed the mayor's skill level in dealing with his fellow commissioners.

"Calm down brother!  Calm down bro!"  Commissioner Ricardo Longoria was quoted as saying during the session.

"Don't tell me to calm down, boy!" the mayor was said to have responded.

"He's a loose cannon!" stated one commissioner. 

The mayor has been under heavy criticism for spending $3.5 million in taxpayer dollars on speculative real estate with no specific need for the City of Brownsville. Hardworking taxpayers will have to tough it up, paying off 20 year Certificates of Obligation for Tony's foolhardy spending.  Yet, the arrogant mayor has never involved the citizens in the process or even attempted to explain the method to his madness.

Two commissioners, Ricardo Longoria and John Villarreal, placed an action item on the agenda for the 8/5/14 City Commission meeting to have one of Tony's foolish purchases put up for sale, La Casa del Nylon, a building Tony used his law partner Horacio Barrera to "negotiate" a purchase at triple the value; $2,300,000. That was the subject discussed in Executive Session that got so heated before Tony had to leave for his interview with Arab TV.
