"A Working Class Hero Is Something to Be"

Tad Hasse

"Working Class Hero"
by
John Lennon
As soon as your born they make you feel small
by giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
Working Class Hero is something to be
Working Class Hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and despise a fool
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules
Working Class Hero is something to be
Working Class Hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for 20 odd years
then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
Working Class Hero is something to be
Working Class Hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion, sex and T.V.
and you think you're so clever and classless and free
but you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see
Working Class Hero is something to be
Working Class Hero is something to be

There's room at the top I'm telling you still
but first you must learn how to smile as you kill
if you want to be like the folks on the hill
Working Class Hero is something to be

Yes , A Working Class Hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

  1. Heroes usually bathe or shower, don't they, Jim? Thad's no hero. Heroes usually tell the truth, don't they, Jim? Thad's no hero. Heroes usually fight for what's right and have pure motives, don't they, Jim? Trust me, Thad's no hero!

    1. Thanks Morgan for putting things in your perspective.

    2. @4:53. Nice try, ignoramus! Sorry, not Morgan. LOTS of us see through Tad's crap-ola. He's a loser and a joke. More and more people see that every day

Bet you thought you were pretty clever when you wrote that. Well, you're not. Don't quit your night job

    3. Dear LOTS of us,
I apologize! Using the same buzz words Morgan uses repetitively threw me off. I guess great minds, not only think, but write alike.

    4. Nah, Morgan usually just refers to him as "that nasty disheveled old chode." Oh, wait, that is what I call him. She just calls him "that guy who looks a little nuts and smells funny."

    5. I usually just call him Tad.

    6. Morgan carries a thesaurus so people think she's smart.

      Delete
    7. Wow that was way harsh. A thesaurus? So what you are saying is that she uses words you don't know. It's okay. It happens to the best of us.

    8. I don't think Morgan knows the word either since she misspelled "choad". I prefer to use "pendejo" myself because, unlike Morgan, I'm actually Hispanic. It's ok, Morgan. Someday you'll actually pass Kindergarten.

    9. That wasn't Morgan. And if you can not manage to google the word "chode" you are nkt in a position to call somebody out on their intelligence. Douche.

  4. A lot of anonymous hate has been thrown at Tad for his appearance. Frankly you Republicans should try to emulate someone like Tad. Your party tries to pull the wool over the voters eyes by claiming to be an inclusive party, the party of the working class when it is the Democrat Party and the unions that is for the working class.

Tad is a hard worker and not afraid to get his hands dirty. So what if he has a grungy look, if he is working on cars, building stuff, cutting grass, or whatever? The GOP is the stuffed shirt party, sipping on champaign (great quote there Cascos about you three cold champaign bottles) and hanging out with the 1%ers or wannabes.

If you work hard then the GOP does not want you, your money, or your vote. And if this is the promised new tone coming from your learned consulting class, then you will surely go the way of the Whig Party. Thank you for showing your snotty colors. Your candidates will never get my vote.

Keep working hard, Tad. Those of us that don't mind getting a little sweat and dirt on our hands respect you for it, brother.

    2. Not all Republicans are snotty eleetist by far. Most are hard working people. Not to really single people out, but folks like Eddie Padron come to mind. The snob faction gives us a black eye in the view of the wooing man, just as all this local elected corruption gives Republicans the view that the Democratic party is organized graft and an outright criminal conspiracy. Do our hard working members cheer the snobs on? No. Do the Democrats who actually have real jobs approve wholeheartedly with the corruption? Is my bias in this matter apparent? Of course it is. Until the Democrats clean their own house of the blatant thieving going on, I will have no respect for their party. It will take the Republicans to break it up. Until that happens, I think I'll stick with the Republicans

    3. Well said, 7:15.

    4. A Mexican sticking with Republicans? Dumb MEXICAN

    5. It is a bit ironic that 7:15 is attempting to deflect as though they play no part in the snob name calling. We'll it really isn't just a bit.

    6. @9:45 I wrote that and I take no part in "snob name calling". I call the thieving, graft, and corruption what it is. Every once in a while (not often enough) federal investigators do it as well.

  5. The hardworking people like Eddie were brought in by Pat Ahumada. After he brought in so many, he was run off by Morris and crew.

  6. Mr. Barton,
Why do you censor my comments but not those of Tad and Roman? I was under the impression you believed in free speech. Evidently, I was wrong.

    1. Morgan,
I don't block viewpoints, logical or otherwise, only comments I consider potentially libelous.

    2. True- like about Tad's elitist mentality that the poor little people of the valley are not smart enough to be at his level. And how is an IT guy being likened to the blue collar masses?

    4. Mr. Barton, you have published comments that falsely claim somebody is dodging a subpoena that does not even exist which are basically claims that somebody is undermining the justice system. It is u derstandable that I and others are confused as to where you draw the line on what is acceptable input from your readers.

    5. The danger of too many socks is that sometimes you get a mismatched pair. It is an occupational hazard of saying nasty anonymous things on the blogs.

    6. Morgan, if it isn't you why are there 3 anti-Tad comments posted within 15 minutes of your signed comment? Inquiring minds want to know. You're just mad that Jim agrees with Tad over Frank. You brought this to the blogs. I don't think it's a far stretch to assume that you and the Young Republicans attempted a character assassination of Tad Hasse and Roman Perez by posting anonymously and failed. This is the fallout, dear. Happy?

  7. Would Jesus be telling people to take a shower or get a new shirt? You all are the Christian WRONG and that is why Rivera and Magallanes have the vote of people. Vote Democrat!

    1. The lesson, kiddos, is that if you want to run for city commission and do not want your history as a Republican (or being drummed out) used against you, pretend to be a DemocRAT.

    2. The extremists in both local parties are cheaters and try to keep membership down for their own selfish reasons. Big fish in little ponds.

    3. Oh please! Rivera and Magallanes are each sucking one of Gilberto Hinojosa's nipples as they wait for him to pull their puppet strings.

  10. Funny how Roman is going after Frank for his resignation, but after resigning to Eddie Padron in front of witnessed wants that resignation to be ignored. Yet, the constant criticism his group have of GOP leadership is that they do not follow their own rules.
