  1. All these Mexicans working for a House of Racism.

  2. Do you think the BHA could hire Sandy Stillman to perform a reenactment of the house's history? We could dress the local prostitutes in China Poblana dresses for added historical accuracy that would make Larry Lof weep with joy. I'd love to see a stiff at the MFA then get a stiffy at Stillman's Love Shack. They could charge $ 35 dollars to watch and $ 70 to reenact Stillman's sexcapades. Then I could go to Su Clinica Familiar to get my gonorrea treated. All in time to ride my bike in Cyclobia. Tell Bean to market this. I'm getting a stuffy just thinking about this.

  4. On the other hand, it could be used as a think tank for those two wonderful guys from planning: Gonzalez and McAllen; we need their iron-clad sense of reason and fail-proof logic.

  6. We have decorated our Linerar Park with a piece of shit....an eyesore. This shack has no more historic significance than any other range shack. Why does Sandy Stillman have the privilege of putting his shack in our park. It is a continuation of the autocratic policies of Tony Martinez....an effort to please and placate his friends in this community, while not listening to the general public. Tony is probably having bronze statues of Julieta and his friends made for placement at the park. This city has no leaders, has no planners and has no officials with the moral courage to stand up for the citizens and their tax dollars.

  7. The "port a john" is the most attractive and functional thing inside that fence. Unfortunate for the citizens to have such an pile of junk sitting in a public park....put there by our city officials.

  8. Our city government is a "joke, a very bad joke".

  9. While Brownsville is trying to renovate this piece of crap shack, the other cities in the area a getting new business venture and more jobs. Harlingen seems to be in a "surge" of new development and more and more of us will go to Harlingen to shop and to eat at their restaurants. More and more people seem willing to drive to McAllen for the same reasons.....more popular stores and restaurants. And Brownsville spins its wheels trying to restore a "shack" that doesn't even have a place in city history.

  10. This renovation project seems to indicate the power of the Stillman family over the city. The Stillmans still have the Mexicans jumping.

  12. I have one question. How will the "history buffs" distinguish the Stillman shack from the dozens of other dilapidated shacks that Brownsville residents currently live in downtown?

  13. If you don't understand the difference you never will. You need culture and breeding and that is something that can't be taught.

    1. Culture and breeding in Brownsville, surely you jest. In one respect, the town does standout in quantity of breeding but falls way short on the quality side.

  14. Everyone rightfully pissed off about this.......but they do nothing to promote change. They vote for their buddies and for chicken plates instead.
