  2. Do the people who make the award actually visit the cities soliciting the "prize"?

  3. Here is your "All American City": http://www.businessinsider.com/immigrant-children-border-crisis-2014-6

Instead of addressing what is a humanitarian crisis of the highest degree, why not be off partying in Denver?

  4. That place looks like Brownsville but in the 1960's.
All those people had to go for such a small plaque? I think they just went to take their Summer vacation.

  5. What's it all about, Alfie? Do we just sit back and wait for the wealth to begin to flow to our All America City? I guess that little shield does look good on city letterheads. Do we challenge the other winners to a "Will The Real All American City Please Stand Up" contest? I don't know what to think.

  7. This is preposterous! What are people going to say when they come visit? Wow, this is a $#%&hole. Why didn't the city spend that money in conjunction with SPI to try a marketing campaign? Are we going to feel any better by calling ourselves an "All American City"? Is this going to bring jobs? Not if anybody actually comes to see what a joke this "award" really is. So I should start a company that awards the "Best City in America" award. I'd have 20+ dumb poor cities throw $25,000 dollars at me. Edinburg has won it 3 times. What did they get? NOTHING. They only grow because McAllen can ONLY grow South and North.

  8. How much did all this cost the taxpayers? Would it be wise to compete for the ALL MEXICAN AMERICAN CITY? I know the pulga can make us a plaque for less than five bucks.
