ReplyDeleteI don't know either of these candidates personally so I cannot say they are losers or unqualified but I do know some of their biggest supporters and unfortunately for Begum and Dominguez I am going to have to give them a guilty by association verdict. Here in Brownsville and all over Cameron County we are stuck with the old crooked candidates or a new breed supported by those old crooks every election cycle. We are forced to vote for the least crooked instead of the best candidate. Neither of these two have a solid platform, they're both running the anti-Hernandez card which tells us nothing. Begum shrugs at the thought of having to speak in front of a crowd, which is fine because its not like the office entails speaking in front of large groups of people but campaigning does because she has to get her message out. At the handful of political functions I've been to she has been invited to speak and turns down the opportunity. I want to think it's the language barrier and she feels like she might mispronounce or mistranslate something but I'd give her credit for trying if she did. Dominguez is engaged yet he hits on girls every chance he gets. C'mon man, show a little more professionalism, at least during the campaign (and especially if elected), and show some respect to your future wife. I'd let that character flaw slide if he didn't follow Zeke around like a puppy. No, I'm not an Hernandez supporter, trust me, I'm voting for Gracia and I'm still undecided in the Pct. 2 race. I predict neither Hernandez and Begum, Rivera and Dominguez will be able to claim victory tomorrow. For our sake, lets hope not.
