OK, Jim, we know that's you on the bike and you do not count as a tourist!
ReplyDeleteCould these people possibly be more full of bullshit? Filling the air with sparky cans of "Gee, my farts smell terrific!"
ReplyDeleteMeaningless issues cloud the smallest minds.
ReplyDeleteOn a daily basis the only bikers I see are those that lack the funds to have a car, use their bikes to collect things to re-cycle and children riding outside their homes. Every now and then we see riders in the pro-type tight suits riding around. Why would tourists come here to ride bikes???? Just because Rose Zavaletta Gown says it, don't make it true. When they had the downtown bike ride last fall, the city planners were so inconsiderate that they blocked off the city and people couldn't get to church, visit family....because they fact that the downtown was going to be blocked off wasn't advertised or coordinated with businesses or churches downtown. Yes, we have bike trails....no we don't have a tourist mecca for biking. We can't even bike in the bike lanes because the bike lanes are used as turn lanes, parking lanes....and are a danger to anyone biking.
ReplyDeleteOn that bike ride in the fall did Rose participate? You would think if you backed this endeavor one would actually "rent" a bike for it"s singular use and show up. Bola de pendejos y idiotas not only that but their stupid and idiots. Cabrones are using ENRON math.
DeleteHow did Rose Zavaletta Gown become a doctor when she's a LOW INFORMATION IDIOT! LMAO LMAO LMAO

ReplyDeleteYOU are so RIGHT!!! Two bikers have been runned down by Price Road and Old Port Isabel Road, then we just had that man that was struck by Charlie Clark street. The public needs to be educated to RESPECT bikers and biker lanes BEFORE making downtown bike trails or days, or whatever you want to call them.
I want to ride with you!!
DeleteThis is true though, you take your life in your hands when you bike in Brownsville, even just to HEB. They should work on making the existing paths safe for bikers, like Price rd where people have already been killed, add at least a sidewalk to and from the bike trail to nearby shopping centers, restaurants and HEB's near the trail before going through hte expense of a downtown bike trail, everyone knows the cars will just use them anyway the same way peple around here drive on the shoulder like its a third lane, scary.

DeleteWhy did she leave private practice ?
ReplyDeleteTo anon of February 16, 2014 at 7:35 AM She failed.
ReplyDeleteI also know she was destroying medical records. I have a friend who was relocating to another state and Dr. (ahem) Gowen was her doctor so she requested copies of her medical records, well long story short Gowen had destroyed them. Shortly after that Gowen was investigated by the FBI and then she quickly closed her practice. I've asked many in the medical field 'bout gowen, and for some reason they're been very hush hush. If anybody out there has better connections I wish someone can shed some light. Think about it when most doctors in the area have MEGA-PRACTICES and she goes to work for a indigent clinic????? GOWEN'S HIDING SOMETHING.
Here you go:
DeleteTexas Medical Board Rule 165.1(a) directs medical practices to retain medical records as follows:
•Keep an adequate medical record that is "complete, contemporaneous, and legible" for each patient for a minimum of seven years from the anniversary date of last treatment.
•If a patient was younger than 18 years of age when last treated, keep the medical records until the patient reaches age 21, or for seven years from the date of last treatment, whichever is longer.
•Do not destroy medical records that relate to any civil, criminal, or administrative proceeding if you know the proceeding has not been finally resolved.
•Follow any federal or state regulation that requires you to retain medical records longer than the above time periods. Read Retention of Medical Records for details

Why would the FBI investigate Dr. Gowen?
