Sylvia Garza-Perez Camp Acting Like, Well, Sylvia Garza-Perez

Sylvia Garza-Perez
We've rejected a number of comments aimed negatively at Cameron County Clerk Candidate Letty Perez-Garzoria.

The comments criticized her dress, described her as "Loca Letty" and recommended the candidacy of former Cameron County Chairperson Sylvia Garza-Perez.

My hunch is that these semiliterate comments were from Sylvia herself who, in her aborted tenure as county chairperson, left the local party financially strapped, disorganized and having precinct chairs in fewer than half of the precincts.  That skill level does not translate into an effective County Clerk.

  1. Good decision Mr. Barton. Sylvia or any of her supporters (if there are any) could never match the dedication and passion that Ms. LETTY has for serving her community. La basura goes out!

    1. I welcome comments noting the skill set and experience supporters may feel Sylvia possesses, just not the juvenile stuff against Letty Perez-Garzoria.

    2. You protect these unqualified candidates at your peril, Barton. And then you have the gall to question why Brownsville is Brownsville? Madre de Dios.

    3. Your perspective from afar, while appreciated, may fail to recognize one noteworthy trait of Ms. Perez-Garzoria. She is honest.

  3. There should be a law against using hyphenated surnames. If you want to use your husband's name along with your maiden name move to Spain or Matamoros. It has gotten to the point of such inanity and subterfuge that I knew a pure gringo who married a Mexicana and used HER surname along with his for affirmative action points. His "name" was Bob Chandler-Martinez. Kind of reminds me of the behemoth blogger Bobby Wightman-Cervantes that well known Sandinista. But why stop at two? If two hyphenated people, Gary Garza-Garcia, Patty Perez-Ponce, have a child, name the little bastard Pete Garza-Garcia-Perez-Ponce. And, on and on, until the end of the human race.

Of course, this begs the question. Jim, are you next?
