"Saint John the Baptist was a forerunner of the Christ," explained Miguel Roberts, one of several photographers featured at Mark Clark's Galeria 409 Thursday evening.


"The slight start of a smile you see in the subject represents the knowledge Saint John had at the time of all of the good coming to the people of the earth because of the Christ."


The mesmerizing photo featuring Miguel's girlfriend, Claudia Henry, uses a background of fabric purchased in India by Miguel's parents.
