Brownsville's Puppetmaster Carlos Marin Uses Lackeys Like Mayor Martinez, Commissioners Villarreal, Vasquez, Gowen to Drain Brownsville

Carlos Marin
While parasitical leeches slice their way through the skin of the host, leaving a Y-shaped incision before drawing blood, Matamoros native Carlos Marin is more subtle.  He created an optical illusion, a mirage, a fanciful city plan actually laid down on now-yellowing paper, that enticed the naive of Brownsville into thinking their city could be turned into Palm Springs and has siphoned off millions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars into nothingness.

The original Imagine Brownsville document, created by Marin's company Ambiotec Engineering, is now so outdated as to be ludicrous.  It calls for the construction of a brick wall with a walkway on top and picnic sites where the actual border wall now sits.  It is written in ambiguous platitudes that actually say nothing.  Still, the city paid a million dollars for the document that now sits somewhere covered in the dust of a steadily declining downtown.
Tony Martinez

As this blog has previously noted(and others before me like Jerry Mchale, Juan Montoya, Bobby Wightman-Cervantes have documented), Brownsville's city commission took a failed document to generate grant funding(Imagine Brownsville) and transformed it into a shadowy, unaccountable governance, United Brownsville.  Even former Mayor Pat Ahumada saw through this bullshit.

The original lackeys for United Brownsville were much maligned UTB President Juliet Garcia and Fred Rusteburg, President of the IBC Bank, an institution that extends into Mexico and has been associated with money laundering.  Brownsville mayor and Harlingen native Tony Martinez has recently joined the chorus and orchestrated cheap office space for the do-nothing entity on the Cueto Building grounds.  Naive, young city commissioners Estela Chavez-Vasquez and John Villarreal were also included in the United Brownsville hierarchy, John as a co-chairman and Estela as a director.  Certainly, they will go along to get along.

What is so wrong with United Brownsville, you ask?  Not only does it suck hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars annually from the City of Brownsville, GBIC, BCIC, BISD, PUB, UTB, TSC and the Port of Brownsville, but now Mayor Tony is transferring the board appointments to boards controlling millions of dollars of taxpayer money to the opaque, non-transparent entity.
Mike Gonzalez

Eight times a year, Executive Director Mike Gonazalez of United Brownsville shines his shoes to make an appearance before the eight entities mentioned above to solicit funds.  He cannot articulate what United Brownsville does because it does nothing.  He can only put out his hand and our city's leaders are too clueless to do anything but comply.

Leeches suck because they can.

  2. Weren't you able to contact his cousin Cheech to get some background on where he went to the dark side? It is refreshing to see the taxonomy of the parasites in the local government scum pool. Hopefully you can develop this theme further and offer some explanation for why the locals dump their earnings into that pool to start with. Looks like a primitive religious rite to me.
