Finally a true leader for brownsville.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!! She is a great lady who I feel comfortable talking to. She gives you eye contact and listens, really listens. Letty Perez Garzoria for City Commissioner , District 4.
ReplyDeleteTaking this picture in a USPS uniform seems to give the impression that USPS is supporting this lady. I don't think a labor union official should presume to represent USPS. He only represents his union. The post master should jump on this and remind union officials that when representing the union....don't do it in uniform. Same should be true for other unions who support candidates...they represent the union, not their employers. Candidates surely seek union support, but it gives me, as a private citizen, the idea that they (the unions) count more than the citizens.
ReplyDeleteSince when did the working class lose the title of "citizen". Union Members make up the fabric of all working people and set the standard for working conditions that all working Americans should be proud of. Union members are not extraterrestrial beings. They make for some very fine citizens and provide for their families. YES .... it may amaze some people but they pay TAXES too ! Put that one in Ripleys Believe It or Not.
DeleteI don't trust labor unions and will not likely vote for a candidate because of a union endorsement. Labor unions always want something for nothing and feel they are "entitled" to a free tit at the public's expense. They use their positions as teachers, firefighters, policemen and postal employees to leverage policies that benefit themselves as individuals and as organizations. Endorsements are forms of lobbying and trying to influence the election beyond the individual vote.
ReplyDeleteCommenter on another blog says the politiqueras have all given up Ernie and he's going down. Maybe his wife too. Can anyone confirm?
ReplyDeleteSo you say he should not be taking pictures with candidates while in uniform. Union bashing is very popular. You have just shown partisanship but that is my opinion.
ReplyDeleteJim, we have four ladies on the commission right now, and that has proven to be no good for Brownsville. We do not need another lady to add to the menstrual mix. The ladies have proven that they are not leaders but puppets or attention hogs that long for photo opportunities. Mrs. Garzoria I am sure is a nice lady but she has proven to be outspoken in many matters, but she has not offered any solutions. While she accepts the endorsements of fire fighters, does she do so with no strings attached, or is she going to reward them with the selfish recurring wish of giving them their never ending raise? Riddle me this Jimbo.
ReplyDeleteLeticia Perez Garzoria is an independent thinker, and self sufficient lady.
DeleteGive her a chance, don't bash her just because you like pretty face do nothing john?
Hear, hear!
DeleteOr is that "Here, here!"?
They're all a bunch of church-going hyp.....
Sorry, I must have fallen asleep while typing.
To 3:11PM,always want something for nothing and feel they are "entitled" to a free tit at the public's expense. wow,You just described the hernandez politiquera family regime.
ReplyDeleteJim you endorse Uresti and Letty? Who I think are actually Tea Party candidates disguised as Liberal Democrats. Any of them for gay marriage, (Affordable Health Care for America Act) AKA Obama Care, or immigration reform? Do these folks actually think people should be arrested and be put in jail and fined for pot?
ReplyDeleteReminds me of FDR warning the nation about candidates like this who say. . .
“Of course we believe these things.
We believe in Medical insurance.
We believe in gay rights.
We believe in immigrants and medical marijuana.
Cross our hearts and hope to die, we believe in all these things.
But we do not like the way the present administration is doing them.
Just turn them over to us.
We will do all of them.
We will do more of them.
We will do them better.
And most important of all, the doing of them will not cost anybody anything.”
