The Bora Bora~A Spectacular New Club for the Young and Beautiful

We could not have been more warmly welcomed  at the spectacular new club Bora Bora located at 12th and Adams.  The new venue obviously caters to the young and beautiful, but our group of nine walking over from the Crescent Moon was graciously seated at a table in the inner courtyard.  Jerry Mchale had a supply of tickets for Friday's grand opening, but none were requested.  Ben Neece, owner of the Crescent Moon along with club manager J.J. were curious about the new club.

Techno music pulsated the building, synchronized with brilliant lighting.  Even the two story Hermanos Bldg was lit up inside the court.

Drinks were served at a long bar stretching along the south side of the building, with yet another bar in the courtyard.

Thanks again Angelo for your hospitality.

  1. Jimmy, I know that tatooing is in, but have these women thought how they are going to look when they are old and wrinkled.
I am a product of the 60's and back then, Carnies, sailors, criminals, drug attitics and prostitutes were the only ones tatooed. What a shame.
I spoke to a middle age woman who works at a bank that was having tatoos removed from her arms, she believed it was affecting promotions at the bank. She said, it is expensive and they use lazers. And the insurance won't pay for the procedure.

  2. I'm not a fan of body ink for many of the reasons you have mentioned.

  3. I wonder how long the owners of this property will allow the party goers to walk and destroy the beauty of the inner patio. My Guess, Not Long.

  5. They are only allowed to use the concrete area of the Courtyard and not venture out into the grassy area or the stairs leading up into the residence. I felt that it was best to allow something good in downtown for the time being and display the beauty of our building in order to promote the future of our city and the economic growth of downtown. If I get any inclination that the courtyard is being damaged, its game over for Bora Bora's use of the Courtyard and Angelo knows that.

Im glad you enjoyed it Jim. I happened to be in Dallas watching my longhorns get creamed by the Sooners. Otherwise I would have been there. Thanks for posting.
