Section 3, U.S. Constitution: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
As with most of Trump's nominees for cabinet and administration positions, Kash Patel isn't remotely qualified to head the F.B.I. Of course, Trump is not looking for qualified folk, just people who will follow his directives to dismantle our government.
Now, according to the Washington Post, Newsweek, among others, Patel accepted $25,000 in payment to help produce and act in an anti-F.B.I. film produced by a U.S.-Russian film company using Kremlin-backed conspiracy content.
Igor Lopatonok, the producer, has produced several pro-Kremlin films, including an anti-Ukraine offering and a highly flattering eight-part miniseries on Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Patel, whose confirmation hearing is set for Thursday, has been a continuing critic of the F.B.I.'s investigation of the Trump-Russia scandal.
It will be interesting to see if any Republicans have the intestinal fortitude to vote "no" on a Trump nominee so obviously unqualified.
