BISD Trustees did not agree to put a $350 bond issue for roofing and airconditioning on the ballot at Thursday's meeting.
According to ValleyCentral.com, after an angry discussion, the item failed to garner a majority with the vote ending 3-3.
Reportedly, trustees Carlos Elizondo, Frank Ortiz and Minerva Pena voted against the measure with Daniella Lopez Valdez, Denise Garza and Jessica Gonzalez voting in favor.
Elizondo told ValleyCentral.com that an after meeting conversation between he and board secretary Pat Perez got heated, resulting in an assault, and that Elizondo has filed charges against Perez.
If Trump dismantles the Education Department, BISD will have to work with the community to fix the schools. Local technicians will have to volunteer and fix the schools. There will probably be no more lunches in school. So moms, will have to take lunches to their kids. BISD will solve all problems and probably will do more with little money.
