On their  way to the finals they defeated Corpus Christi Ray, San Antonio Robert E. Lee, Waco Richfield and Houston's Galena Park.

They lost to Dallas Samuel in the finals.  

Charlie Vaughan, Milwaukee Braves

Charlie Vaughan
was drafted by the Milwaukie Braves and the following year Cesar de la Garza by the Houston Astros to their Rookie League.   

Tony Barbosa, California Angels

Tony Barbosa
pitched at Pan American College (4 years) where he was selected as an All-American and soon after drafted by the Anaheim Angels. Tony finished his career in the Mexican League.  

Arnie Alvarez, Sergio Manzano and Rene Torres were awarded scholarships to play at Pan American College.

  7. Winning the bb series against corpus was historic… it gave the eagles their first district title… in its history of the bb program
